Why don’t you have your phone number posted?
We tried having a phone but unfortunately, due to the nature of our work (in that we’re using our hands all the time), we found we were unable to reliably manage phone calls and run the business at the same time. Please email us and we’ll do our best to respond as soon as we can.
Do you take donations?
Yes, we love receiving donated furniture and turning it into something new and beautiful. However, before dropping off any furniture we ask that you please contact us, send us photos, and then we’ll arrange a time for you to drop the piece off. Please do not drop furniture off outside the shop without receiving our approval first. This is considering ‘dumping’ and our parking lot is under surveillance.
Do you buy furniture?
We do not.
What’s your return policy?
Unopened and unused paint, brushes, and accessories can be returned (with receipt) within 7 days for a full refund. Due to our furniture and decor being one-of-a-kind, all sales on those items are considered final. Cancelled or invalid online orders will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Do you deliver/pickup?
In the future, we may offer a delivery/pickup service, but at the current time we do not have the facilities available to provide these services. We can however, give you recommendations for reliable, local delivery services that can help you with getting your pieces here/there!
My piece of furniture broke after I bought it, what do I do?
While we do our best to ensure that the furniture you’re taking out of the shop is in good shape, stuff happens and things can break. We get it. If that happens, send us an email at hi@studioreclaimed.ca and we’ll help diagnose the problem and find you a fix!
I inherited an heirloom from my grandmother. It’s dated and ugly, but I can’t get rid of it. What can you do for me?
This is where Studio Reclaimed really shines! We respect the integrity of all pieces of furniture and we’ll work together to try to find the best solution to make your piece modern.
Okay, but how much is this really going to cost?
Refinishing furniture is much more cost effective than purchasing brand new, solid wood furniture. Send us a photo, along with measurements of your piece and we’ll give you a free quote. Most simple refinishes on a 6 drawer dresser cost between $225 and $325. Please note that we have a wait-list as refinishing furniture takes time. Please do not bring in a piece without receiving a quote and a confirmed drop-off date.
Do you refinish chairs?
Yes, however, due to the complexity and amount of time required to refinish chairs, prices start at $110 firm per chair.
Are these products safe for children?
Of course! Fusion Mineral Paints and Homestead House stains are rated better for children than box store brands. They are VOC-free, mineral and plant based products.
How long will you take to refinish my furniture?
Generally about 10 days, although some pieces have different requirements that can extend the refinishing process. If you require a piece finished within a timeline, rush charges will apply. Please do not call or drop by inquiring about the status of your piece. We will contact you when it’s ready or if we have any questions.
